Something I haven't really been able to talk about. We just got back from vacation (see Mom's blog for more information on our vacation and some really great photos. I took the one of the deer. Ahem!

We had to put down Miss Miss. She just wasn't recovering and it's like she wasn't "there" in her head anymore. The vet that we had at the emergency clinic was wonderful, she hugged us and told us that it was the right decision and cried with us a little. We both just sobbed off and on for the rest of the day.

I miss her little face popping up randomly on the bed down by my knees and her little "mew MOW?" - always twice, never just once. She became a Mommy's girl in the short time that I had her, and she had always been a Daddy's girl for Rob for the whole 12 years that he had her. Miss Miss was a sweetheart, and we had to let her go. She would follow us around the house in the morning when we were getting ready for work, just in case (hahaha) we might have cereal and she could share the milk with Homer.

I know that it was the right decision, but it still hurts. There's a big hole in the house also, since Bubba disappeared about a month ago. I've kind of lost hope for him to come home.

Between the loss of two of our babies, it's been quite an adjustment for us. A very unhappy one, to say the least.

Our beloved Miss Miss is buried with the rest of the babies that I and my family has had over the years. We have a special place that is very peaceful and serene that our buddies and babies go after they cross that rainbow bridge and she is there with the rest of them. It helps to have them close so that they know that we still think about them daily.

Miss, sweetheart, Mommy and Daddy love you so very much, and we'll see you again soon okay? In the meantime, watch out for us and have fun up there as we know that you're not hurting anymore. The accident should have never happened and we're so sorry.
